EnrollThis course is an introduction for nurses and advanced practice clinicians on commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) and how it relates to clinical practice. Using a lens of reproductive justice, the module discusses how to identify and support the health and safety needs of individuals affected by or at risk of CSEC. It explores the myriad of impacts CSEC can have on a person, from physical health to emotional, cognitive, and social impacts. The course will further discuss how nurses can use a trauma-informed and harm reduction approach to assess, treat, and support patients experiencing CSEC.
