At the end of this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand how environmental justice fits within the lens of reproductive justice.

  • Demonstrate basic understanding of the history of environmental justice and injustice in the United States, including unequal access to healthy home and work environments and how capitalism contributes to and sustains inequitable treatment.

  • Describe the concept of environmental justice and how it relates to sexual and reproductive health care.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the endocrine system and how common chemicals disrupt hormonal processes.

  • Understand why environmental justice is relevant and essential for health care providers to engage with.
