Learning Objectives

At the end of this course learners will be able to do the following:

  • Explain the considerations to choosing between the three pregnancy options (abortion, adopting, parenting) and the process of guiding patients through patient-centered decision-making.
  • Use values clarification and self reflection to evaluate how their biases and values around pregnancy decision-making impact their care and counseling of pregnant people.
  • Apply counseling and pregnancy test result disclosure skills to diverse patient encounters, as practiced through interactive case studies.
