Description

Immigrants, regardless of citizenship status, face significant barriers to healthcare, including fear of deportation for those who are undocumented, language and cultural barriers, and systemic discrimination. By centering reproductive justice in our approach, this session will equip nurses with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to stand up for immigrant rights, advocate for policy change, and provide culturally competent, trauma-informed care. Attendees will learn what health care options are available to immigrants, recognize their own role in advocacy, and gain tools for becoming powerful allies in the ongoing fight for immigrant justice.
